User Data Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of information held by SmartChat HQ, including data connected through Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp business messaging services.
How to request deletion
- Email hello@smartchathq.com from the email address used for your SmartChat HQ account.
- Use the subject line SmartChat HQ data deletion request.
- Include your account email address and the name of the workspace or connected business account you want removed.
Keep your credentials private
Never send us your password, access token, verification code, payment-card details or other login credentials. We will not ask for them to process a deletion request.
What happens next
We will acknowledge your request and may ask you to verify that you own the SmartChat HQ account or are authorised to act for the connected business. After verification, we will confirm the deletion work and let you know when it is complete.
Information covered
Depending on your request, deletion may cover account details, AI Employee configuration, training content, connected-channel credentials, Facebook Page or Instagram business connections, WhatsApp business connections, customer messages, conversations, leads and appointment bookings stored in your SmartChat HQ workspace.
Information we may need to retain
We may retain limited information where reasonably required for legal, tax, billing, fraud-prevention, security or dispute purposes. Information may also remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups are routinely replaced. Any retained information remains protected and is not used for unrelated purposes.
Disconnecting Meta access
You can also revoke future access from the Apps and websites settings in your Facebook account. Revoking access stops future connection activity, but you should still email us if you want information already stored by SmartChat HQ to be deleted.
